Our Services
Lowcountry Marketing Consultants provides a vast array of marketing services to help your business get more customers from the internet and beyond!
Local Search Marketing - We specialize in providing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island, Savannah, and to cities around the globe. Local search refers to the “keywords” someone types in to one of the search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo) for a specific phrase or service. For example, let’s say you did a search for, “chiropractor in Charleston,” or “Savannah roofers.” Breaking this down, one would be searching for a specific service (chiropractor and roofer), within their local area (Charleston and Savannah).
With the simplicity of the internet and the popularity of smartphones, most people won’t even bother picking up the Yellow Pages anymore to search for what they’re looking for. Instead, they will go online via their computer or phone and find what they’re looking for in seconds. That being said, you will want to be sure you have your website optimized for local searches. Local search optimization will help you get your business to show up for such phrases used in the example above. However, you don’t want to stop there. You will also want your business to show up on Google Places.
“Google Places” is Google’s official business listings. And since Google is the largest search engine in the world, you will want your business listed here. Typically there are 7-10 Google Places spots at the top of the first page. So, let’s say if you searched for, “Savannah roofers,” you would want your business to be listed on the Google Places map and hopefully within the 7-10 box. But again, this requires that your listing be properly optimized and maintained so to be sure you keep your spot and don’t get “jumped” by your competitors. If your Google Places listing is not properly optimized and maintained, then you most likely will not reach the coveted 7-10 box, and your business will not make the first page of the search results. And if you’re not on the first page of the search results, the chances of your business being seen, become less and less the farther back you are.

Social Media Marketing - If you are unfamiliar with Social Media Marketing, then simply put, you are losing potential business everyday. Social Media Marketing sites should be used to help drive traffic (visitors) to your site. You want to have a page for each of the major networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. to increase brand awareness. You don’t want to use these Social Media sites to simply post ads. Instead, you want to show why your business is unique, and why your business and/or product is better than your competitor’s. You can also post different facts and/or tips that a potential customer could see and peak some interest. Of course you don’t want to give away too much, but just enough to get them wanting more so they will give you a call.
You can also post special sales and/or offers on your Social Media sites, but just keep those to a minimum as you want to build your customer base with your knowledge and have them become comfortable with you. If you’re only posting something each time you have a sale, you’re not going to keep people’s interest. However, if you’re providing them with useful information and tips they can use on a daily basis, then they will be more likely to revist your page often and recommend your page to their friends and family. This is exactly what you want!

Email Marketing - Email Marketing can be very useful to businesses for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it is an excellent way to keep in touch with your clients. Say, for example you’re a dentist. You can use Email Marketing to send your patients reminders about their appointment, or if they haven’t been there for awhile, you can offer an incentive to come in. Maybe you could offer a discount on teeth whitening with their next cleaning. Or, you could make the deal even sweeter and offer free teeth whitening if they send you a referral. People always like, “free” things so incentives are a great way to bring old clients back, or bring new clients in. Regardless, you will want to have an opt-in form on your website so people can signup and get on your mailing list. Just be sure you’re not spamming them by sending them emails all the time. Periodic emails with special offers and/or tips are your best bets.
Email Marketing
Mobile Marketing - Just as with Email Marketing mentioned above, Mobile Marketing is a similar concept. With the number of smartphone (Iphone, Blackberry, Android, etc.) users increasing daily, Mobile Marketing is quietly becoming the new standard. Many people are on the go most of the day and use their smartphone as their “computer.” And why not? These phones have internet and work just like a mini-computer, so it’s your job to cater to these people. Basically, if someone visits your website via their phone, you want them to be able to opt-in to your list just the same way as they would if you were going to have them opt-in to your email list. However, instead of sending them periodic emails, you will send them periodic text messages. These text messages will mainly be for incentive purposes, since again, the people who use their phones for “everything” are looking for a good reason to signup. Now, if you send them a text with an offer for a 20% off coupon, upon signup, don’t you think that will get their attention? It most certainly will! And, now you have them on your Mobile Marketing list, so unless they choose to opt-out of your list, they will continue to get offers from you as long as you continue sending them out!
